Diana gave a keynote speech at an ASDA suppliers conference in Morley on Thursday. The conference, held annually, was attended by around 450 suppliers from the UK and from ASDA's production sites around the world including China, India and Europe.

The theme of the conference was ASDA's ethical and environmental programme. This year the company emphasised the growing interest that governments, at all levels, have in both social and environmental issues in supply chains. Diana spoke about the direction of future EU legislation in the area of corporate and social responsibility.
